I Rotten Sound sono stati fondati nella primavera del 1993 dal chitarrista Mika Aalto. I Rotten Sound ebbero qualche uscita con qualche line-outs per diverse etichette Punk\HC indipendenti tra il 1993 ed il 1996 prima che la band fosse pronta per fare il grande salto e registrare il primo album su CD. Questo album uscì per la spagnola Repulse Records ed è intitolato “Under Pressure”. Questo CD d’esordio è composto da 22 brani di velocità e ferocia. Il debutto ha venduto circa 2000 copie, comprese le versioni in LP e MC. I Rotten Sound continuarono a lavorare con nuovo materiale per la Repulse dopo il debutto e trovando anche un nuovo membro per la band: Juha Ylikoski alla chitarra solista. Il risultato di qyesto lavoro e cambiamento è il nuovo CD: “Drain”. Il CD è stato registrato nei famosi Sunlight Studios per avere nuovi elementi anche sul versante della produzione. “Drain”consiste in 15 nuovi brani molto diversi tra loro. Si può trovare il sound delle origini - crust\grind - e anche differenti stili di heavy metal. come death e black mescolati insieme. Ora la band è sotto pressione per avere un posto fisso nell’underground estremo.
