Sono andato al Giardino dell’Amore
e ho visto quello che non avevo visto mai:
una Cappella era costruita lì in mezzo,
dove io giocavo sul prato.
E le porte di questa Cappella erano chiuse,
e «Tu non devi» scritto sulla porta;
così mi volsi verso il Giardino dell’Amore,
che tanti dolci fiori portava;
e vidi che era pieno di tombe,
e pietre tombali dove dovevano essere i fiori;
e Preti in nere vesti andavano attorno,
e circondavano con rovi le mie gioie & piaceri.
